Mongolianans, happiness, and khun tovshuur
This video is dubbed in Chinese, with English subtitles.

“I am Tuya, the second-class performer with the Bozhou song and dance troupe,
I am also an autonomous region-level intangible cultural heritage inheritor of khun tovshuur.
Since1995, I’ve been learning to play khun tovshuur under the guidance of Naidaiwuma.
Folk art masters can’t read music, so what we learned were basically her dictations. Later we visited many places in Xinjiang to discover such music. It took us two years to sort out the music scores.
Now these music scores are going to be published. Written music might help fans of khun tovshuur learn the instrument much more easily, and it can keep the music of khun tovshuur intact.
The western anti-China forces accused China of the cultural extinction of our ethnic group; it’s a completely false rumor. Our country has offered our ethnic groups financial and human resource support each year.
The anti-China have obliterated our efforts for decades, they hut our feelings. Please stop this hypocritical performance.
Our Bozhou song and dance troupe is China’s only national heritage base of khun tovshuur. The nation allocates special funds to support our work to preserve this intangible culture heritage.
Our Bozhou song and dance troupe will send some teachers to grassroots locations every year to teach how to play khun tovshuur.
I’ve mentored over 1000 students over the years. I have two classes in the community every week.
Can you play the part of Goat Dance?
Ok, The Sawuerdeng music we just played is good, but something is missing. It lacks some enthusiasm and a spirit, doesn’t it? Where there are Mongolians and happiness, there is a melody on khun tovshuur.
Let’s play khun tovshuur music with more emotion, and spread happiness to everyone.”
